One day I stumbled across a flea market on an island with my mom and found this little camera. I usually test cameras by triggering and taking a look inside.
With this one I had no idea how it’s done.
Very confused about the mechanics, I couldn’t resist and bought it from this old lady.
After some learning, I figured the camera out and did some tests with a fresh roll of Kodak Gold.
After 50 years of living in Singapore, the assembled camera held up pretty well and works perfectly. Except the light meter, which doesn’t interfere with taking photos, all necessary functions worked fine.
It’s a sneaky one—the viewfinder is nice but it doesn’t show that things are sharp. Triggering is very quiet, and the camera feels perfect; the sharpness is set by guessing the distance.
All in all, a very weird but addicting camera.
And most importantly, the photos are great and shooting is extremely fun.
One of the few cameras I tested that feels so special that I’m having a hard time selling it.
Anyways, I need to keep this project running.
So if you want to buy it, hit me up.
